Formula
Adjusted Margin = Goal Difference + Handicap

Loss (margin < 0): Return = 0
Quarter Handicap: Split into two equal half-bets on adjacent lines
Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly is an Asian handicap?
Asian handicap betting removes the draw from the equation by assigning a goal handicap to one of the teams. The format emerged in Asian betting markets and delivers more evenly balanced odds, while also allowing for refunds — known as pushes — on certain results.
How does a quarter handicap function?
Quarter handicaps such as 0.25, 0.75, or 1.25 divide your stake evenly across two neighbouring lines. Take -0.75 as an example: half of the stake is placed on -0.5 and the other half on -1.0. The upshot is that you can finish with a half-win or a half-loss.
What does it mean when there is a push?
A push arises on whole-number handicaps whenever the adjusted scoreline ends up exactly level, in which case your entire stake comes back to you. With quarter handicaps, one half of the bet may push while the other wins or loses, producing a partial return.
How should I interpret Asian handicap lines?
A negative handicap, say -1.5, requires the team to win by a greater margin than that figure. A positive handicap such as +1.5 lets the team lose by less than that margin and still come out ahead. A zero handicap (0) functions as ‘Draw No Bet’, meaning a drawn match returns your stake.
